What is Raku?  Raku is a method of ceramic glaze firing, where the piece is pulled from the kiln when the glaze has reached its melting point.  It is then thrust into combustible materials which flame and the piece is covered and left to smolder until it is cool enough to handle.  Raku is NOT waterproof, dried plants only.
