The Art of Sara Balbin.

From an early age I
have pursued a personal portrayal of the world through the visual arts.
Influenced by my Cuban born heritage, inspired by the natural
surroundings of the Chequamegon National Forest, and enlightened by my
association with the Lac Courte Oreilles band of Lake Superior Ojibwe,
my artistry reflects
The Nature of
Mankind and Mankind in Nature.
Throughout my
professional career, I have been sponsored by the National
Endowment for the Arts, the Wisconsin Arts Board, the Lac
Courte Oreilles Tribal Governing Board, the Chequamegon Bay Area Arts
Council, the Experimental Aircraft Association, the Outagamie Charitable
Foundation and many supportive patrons. The greatest support has come
from family, friends and community.
From personal
observations of mankind’s interaction with the world, I create original
metal sculptures for home interior, landscape and public settings. My
public sculptures grace museums, libraries, hospitals, parks, municipal
buildings, cemeteries, schools, resorts, an airport and other community
settings.
